I want to help you thrive in you personal life and in your family relationships! Together, we can find the balance between caring for yourself and for others, and develop the skills to create emotional health. Through couples counseling I help partners find a deeper connection and build skills to remain close and satisfied. I am particularly passionate about working with young adult women dealing with relationship problems and life transitions. I take every opportunity to use the media to promote healthy relationships & mental health.

Clair Mellenthin, MSW, LCSW
Director of Child and Adolescent Services
MSW, Univeristy of Southern California

As a registered play therapist, I am dedicated to working with children to help them overcome and resolve their problems by learning healthy coping skills, discovering new ways to improve behavior through the use of positive reinforcement and consequences, increasing self-esteem, and developing a hopeful life outlook. I believe that the family is the keystone to change for children and parental involvement is crucial to the growth and healing of a child. I also help parents in learn healthy parenting skills and techniques so they can support their child’s progress and be actively involved in the therapeutic process. I am hopeful that through the therapy process that children and families can develop the tools to become healthy, happy, and whole.

Master's of Mental Health Therapy Intern
University of Phoenix

Through sensitivity, empathy, creativity and humor, I offer a safe atmosphere for clients to share their story and explore healthy ways to navigate life’s challenges. I believe one of the most valuable aspects of therapy emerges through an empathic and supportive relationship between counselor and client.  I have a great deal of experience working with young children through art, play and parent-child interaction therapy, and I enjoying helping children, adolescents and adults heal from physical or emotional trauma.
